The features of this gimbal are incredible. Everything has been well-thought-out. It’s a perfect lightweight setup for the RX100VII. With the Sony Multi cable I can control the camera’s zoom directly from the RS3’s front dial. The game changer for me is Track Mode. The Ronin app Track Mode (motion control) allows me to mount on a tripod and get repeatable smooth pan/tilt shots at any speed (no need to spend money on an expensive pan/tilt system).Balancing your camera on the gimbal is very easy – the screen even shows data for each of the 4 axes and how balanced they are. The touchscreen is bright and easy to use. There are so many customization settings you can choose in the menus. The battery seems like it lasts over 12 hours. The auto-lock is genius (I will never buy another gimbal without this feature). I have zero complaints.

Made a lot of squeaky noises when the motor would move the locks and screeching when the motor were pressed on.Updated the firmware they the DJI app and it made it into a glitchy not stabilized mess. Started to move on it’s on and messed up a first look I had to do for a wedding.Professional equipment should not fail you for important stuff like this on the job. I sent it back and am looking for a new one. I loved the auto locking feature a lot but I also picked up a separate battery handle cuz the one it comes with is just smaller than my hands. The rs2 handle is slightly bigger and has a more comfortable grip space.Hopefully my second purchase of this item goes better, but the rsc2 is way more reliable atm

Having captured the drone market, this latest addition to the DJI product offering is worth a look.It does perform very well although the information in set up could be much clearer. There are several videos and guides but the clearest for me was the user guide (often the least used paperwork of any new device). I did use the videos but found they went too fast to follow and so I ended up repeating them several times. The info for camera control is also not that clear – I had to search separately to find how to control my camera through the app/unit.Once I managed to get things in place, balanced and understood the controls the results were very good. Worth the added searching to find ‘how-to’.All of this could be avoided with a decent supplied guide.I’ve seen a few comments on battery charging but it must be understood that products are supposed to be shipped with a max 30% battery charge under airline rules. So as I began, worth looking under the bonnet (hood for my US friends)
